Validity of Prism-5-Op Interviews for Use in Studies of Prescription Opioids

This study, a collaboration with the New York State Psychiatric Institute, aims to help standardize the definition of addiction for chronic pain patients prescribed opioids for pain treatment by determining the validity and reliability of PRISM-5-Op diagnoses of DSM-5 Substance Use Disorder for prescription opioids, and to determine the feasibility of the PRISM-5-OP test for the FDA required prospective cohort studies and for future use.
