The Department of Anesthesiology is pleased to note that Nikolaos Skubas, MD, FACC, FASE, DSc, Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology, and Professor of Anesthesiology in Clinical Cardiothoracic Surgery, was appointed Chair of the Fellowship of the American Society of Echocardiography Advisory Committee earlier this summer.
Dr. Skubas serves as the Department’s Chief of Cardiac Anesthesiology and is also an associate editor of the journal Anesthesia and Analgesia.
The American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) is the largest global professional organization devoted to cardiovascular ultrasound imaging. The ASE has over 16,000 members, which includes physicians, sonographers, nurses, and scientists. The ASE’s Fellows are practitioners of echocardiography who demonstrate both proficiency and extraordinary commitment to the field of cardiovascular ultrasound. The Department of Anesthesiology congratulates Dr. Skubas on receiving this honor.
