Congratulations to Dr. Natalia Ivascu, associate professor of clinical anesthesiology, for her election as a member to the Association of University Anesthesiologists (AUA).
New members are admitted to the AUA through a nomination and selection process that occurs twice a year. Dr. Ivascu joins nine department faculty who hold membership in the association. They are Drs. Peter Fleischut, Peter Goldstein, Cynthia Lien, Vinod Malhotra, Kane Pryor, John Savarese, Nikolaos Skubas, Stephen Thomas, and Chair of Anesthesiology Dr. Hugh Hemmings.
The AUA's mission is to advance the art and science of anesthesiology by encouraging members to pursue original investigations, develop teaching methods, and engage in the free and informal interchange of ideas, according to its website.
