Jenica Lampl, MD, a Weill Cornell Anesthesiology Resident, was recently honored by a new program at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital designed to promote an increased focus on patient care and safety by the housestaff.
The Good Catch Program was established in January 2014 by the NYP Housestaff Quality Council. The Program seeks to identify members of the housestaff who prove exemplary in communicating to their peers about events that highlight opportunities for delivering quality patient care and utilizing existing frameworks for promoting and protecting patient safety. Dr. Lampl’s nomination for this honor was given to the Housestaff Quality Council, who then considered all nominees and sought to identify “events that could have a significant impact on patient safety, and the quality of care and service to patients.” Dr. Lampl’s focus on patient care won her the Good Catch Award for August 2014.
Dr. Hugh C. Hemmings, Jr., Chair of Anesthesiology, Dr. Cynthia Lien, Residency Program Director, and the entire Department of Anesthesiology extend warm congratulations to Dr. Lampl on this honor.
NewYork-Presbyterian COO Cam Paterson, MD, presented Jenica Lampl, MD, the Good Catch Award.
